krazy canines MY TRAINING METHODS

I passed an APDT assessment in 2003. This ensures that the methods I use are kind, fair and effective.
I do not use choke chains, pronged /spike collars, any of the electric shock collars that are on the market, or any other such equipment that could be cruel or misused for punishment.
I believe in understanding the dog’s mind. I therefore use reward-based training methods – fuss, treats and toys.
No two dogs are alike, so different methods suit different dogs. Training has to be fun for both the dog and the handler, or no-one will learn anything.
I train the handlers, not the dogs, and the exercises I do are for everyday living with a dog. For example - walking on the lead; not running out every time the door is open; jumping up and playing games (that may sound silly, but you would be surprised at the number of dogs that control games, i.e. running away with the toy instead of bringing it back.)
Once I get you into the mind of a dog then it makes the rest a lot easier!!
